Sunbeam MCC Pioneer Run 2016

A wonderful event, meeting up with old friends, helping to fix some breakdowns & a lot of pushing!

Always something new to see, & this year was no exception. We spotted a lovely machine with a sidecar attached called a Stuart 'Stellar' (see photographs above).

Made by Stuart Turner in 1912 with an 800cc in line water cooled (maring type) engine, a 2 speed gearbox with a shaft final drive, a Bosch magneto, an Amac carburettor & a detachable kick-start pedal. This bike was apparently a one off built for Military trials to find a suitable dispatch riders machine, losing out to Rudge, so no more were built.
